I’ve lived in Arizona since 1968. I’ve watched the valley grow up with me.

I met my wife, Maile, at law school. We got married in Maui, in a little cove on the grounds of the Marriott Renaissance Hotel. It was her childhood dream to one day marry on that spot. I was more than happy to oblige. We were married by her boss and my friend, Judge Emmet Ronan, the day before the 9/11 attacks. One day we’re getting married on a peaceful, sunny Hawaiian day, the next day, the world as we knew had changed forever.

About a year later, Max entered our lives. A beautiful, happy, little boy. Max was diagnosed with Autism when he was about two years old. It’s been a challenge but we couldn’t be any prouder of him than we are. He is the star of his school, and has a million dollar smile.
